The
Chedi (Stupa) on the left has been "refurbished" to show the
top which was originally there. The rest are in their natural state.
Remember, this set of temple ruins dates back to 1374.

On the bus heading to the next stop, we see these chickens outside a store. Talk about yard art! We saw chicken statuary at a lot of the statuary places. They must mean good luck or something! |
Across
the river there is a barge, and a typical upscale Thai home. Notice
that it is built on stilts. Most Thai homes have always had the main
living quarters built above a foundation on stilts, because during the
rainy season it will rain as much as on inch per hour, and flooding
is common everywhere in the country.
